Description

Keeper's Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with an 18th-century front and a 20th-century extension to the left and rear. It features a timber frame clad in coursed sandstone, with brick quoins and dressings, and has a plain tiled half-hipped roof. The building stands two storeys high on a plinth, with a plat band above the ground floor and a triple ridge stack at the left end. On the first floor, there are four diamond-pane, leaded, casement windows, while the ground floor has two casement windows and one window in the pentice extension to the left. A studded plank door is located to the left, set in a gabled, weatherboarded half open porch. The right side has a lower extension with a hip roof that features a buttressed end.
