It has a timber frame, clad in sandstone rubble on the right side, with sandstone and brick infill on the exposed frame to the left and rear. The roof is plain tiled. The cottage is two storeys high and features a ridge stack to the right of the center. On the first floor, there are four casement windows, and there are four windows below. A part-glazed planked door is located to the right of center, set in a gabled brick and stone porch. At the rear right, there is a 20th-century wing that extends at right angles. The left-hand return front is tile hung, and the timber frame is exposed at the rear left. Inside, the framing is also exposed.
