Description

East View is a cottage dating from the mid-17th century. It has a timber frame that is underbuilt in sandstone and brick, with the upper part finished in colourwashed render. The roof is plain tiled. The cottage stands two storeys tall, featuring an offset end stack on the left and a rear stack on the right. There are four casement windows on the first floor and three windows on the ground floor. A pentice drip board is situated over the ground floor. The cottage has boarded doors on both the left and right sides, and there is a single-storey extension at the right end, which is dressed in sandstone and brick.
