Description

Crossways Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with 20th-century extensions at the rear. It features a timber frame that is underbuilt in red and blue brick on a brick plinth, with an exposed frame above and a plain tiled roof. The cottage has two storeys and includes a corbelled end ridge stack on the left and a 20th-century front stack on the right. There are two windows on each floor and a plank door to the left. The left-hand return front has a tile-hung gable, with some tiles arranged in a fishscale pattern. At the rear, there is a brick pentice extension and a sandstone block oven at the left end.
