Description
Tudor Cottage and The Old Cottage is a house that has been extended and divided. It dates from the late 16th century and was extended to the right and rear in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a timber frame, with some sections in square panels, and has brown brick infill. The ground floor on the left is underbuilt, while the right side has a brick extension with a tile-hung gable. The roof is plain tiled with a half-hip at the right end. There is a cross wing that projects to the left end, and another wing to the right of the central wing at right angles to the rear. The house is two storeys high and has large multiple stacks to the left of the centre. On the left, there is one gable attic window and one casement window on each floor below. A plank door is located on the left side of the wing. The first floor has two windows in the centre, and there is one window on the ground floor. A 20th-century door is situated to the right of centre, sheltered by a hipped porch hood on wooden supports. To the right, there is one small first-floor window and one three-light window on the ground floor. The rear of the building features two gabled wings.
