Description
WITLEY C.P. PETWORTH ROAD SU 94SW Wheelerstreet 3/283 The Old Manor 9/3/60 (Formerly The Old Manor Hotel) GV II House. C16, extended to left in Cl7, further extended and refronted in C18 and restored in C20. Timber framed core, clad in brown and blue brick in chequerwork pattern to centre and left, red brick to right. Plain tiled roofs, hipped to centre range. Half-H shaped plan with lower cross wing and flush gable to left, taller gable to right end. Two storeys with plat band over ground floor and first floor of right hand gable. Rear stacks to right of centre, and two diagonal ridge stacks to right of centre. Three diamond-pane, two-light windows to first floor centre. One window to first floor left and two cambered-head and keystoned glazing bar sash windows to first floor right under gauged brick lintels. One 2-light, diamond-pane ground floor casement window to left under gauged brick head. One window to left of centre. Two keystoned and cambered head 12-pane glazing bar sash windowto right. Panelled door to right of centre under flat hood on dentilled cornice with ribbon garland and floral decoration. Frame exposed with herring- bone infill to right hand return front.
