Description

Manor House is an 18th-century building located on the east side of The Street in Witley. It features blue and brown brick in Flemish Bond and has a restored plain tiled hipped roof. The house has a square shape with a service wing that is canted forward from the front left. The main house is two storeys tall, while the wing is single storey. There are end stacks on both the wing and the main house.

On the first floor of the main house, there are three glazing bar sash windows, with the outer ones being tripartite. Below, there are two 12-pane glazing bar sash windows under gauged brick heads, and a blocked window to the right on the ground floor. The entrance features a modern six-panel door with flanking lights, set in a hooded frontispiece, and is topped with a fanlight and an open pediment hood. To the left, there is a tall bay linking to the wing, which has irregular casement fenestration.

On the right-hand return front, there are two glazing bar sash windows on the first floor, and on the ground floor, there are casement doors and a square bay. At the rear, there are four windows on each floor, including one 24-pane window on the ground floor. A bowed oriel window with brackets is located on the right in a hooded surround. There is also a single-storey entrance porch at the junction of the wing and the main house on the left-hand return front, which now serves as the main entrance.
