Description
The walls and gate to Witley Manor are structures from the 18th century, with lower parts built in that period and upper courses added in the 19th and 20th centuries. The lower half is made of sandstone blocks, while the upper section features coursed sandstone topped with D-shaped brick coping. The wall stands approximately 10 feet high and stretches about 60 metres long. To the left of the center, there is a one-step door surround above a planked door, and another gate is located at the angle of the wall to the left. The main gates, flanked by red and blue brick piers, feature a 4-centre sandstone arch over double boarded gates. This wall and gate are a prominent feature along the village street.
