Description
The Old School House is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone with galleting, featuring red brick quoins and a plain tiled roof that is hipped at the right end. The building has an L-shaped plan and faces the street, rising two storeys above a stone plinth. There is a brown and grey brick plat band over the ground floor, with a ridge stack on the left end and end stacks on the right. The front is symmetrical, with one three-light casement window and one two-light casement window on both floors, all set in brick surrounds. The ground floor windows have gauged brick heads. To the right of centre, there is a ribbed door located in a narrow, gabled porch that features weatherboarding in the gable.
