Description

The swimming pool, pump house, and fountain at Kingfisher Court date to approximately 1935 and were designed by Guy Morgan. The rectangular swimming pool is constructed of concrete and edged with renewed flat slabs. It has four sets of side-wall steps with original handrails. A fountain is located on the west side, featuring a circular concrete basin and a tapering central pillar with a small upper basin and font. Adjacent to the south is a small rectangular pump house with a brick plinth, cedar shingles to the walls, swept at the base, and a hipped wood-shingle roof. It has a single window on the east side and a board door on the south side; original pumping machinery remains inside. The building is an integral landscape feature of the nearby, impressive 1930s luxury apartment development at Kingfisher Court.
