Description
95 and 97 Bridge Road are cottages dating from the late 17th century, with early 18th century additions at the right-hand end. They are constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings and feature wooden eaves beneath a plain tiled roof that is hipped to the right. There is a rear stack on the right side. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic, which is highlighted by three gabled leaded dormers on the left side and a plat band over the ground floor. The first floor has three diamond-pane leaded casements on the left, while the right extension has one glazing bar casement window, all of which are set under gauged heads. The central left entrance (No. 95) has a six-panelled door beneath a flat hood. The right-hand return front features an 18th century addition made of red brick on a rendered plinth, consisting of three bays with a plat band over the ground floor. There is one glazing bar sash window on the first floor, while the other two windows are blocked. A central door is located under a flat hood supported by brackets.
