Description

House. The front range dates to around 1840, while the rear range is a combination of 18th century and around 1840 construction. The front range is built of stock brick, with a rendered ground floor, and has a tiled roof with brick chimney stacks. It is three storeys high and has three windows. The second-floor windows are six-pane sashes with central, blank moulded surrounds and stops. The first-floor windows are twelve-pane sashes with moulded surrounds. The ground floor has a twelve-pane sash window on the right side, a recessed doorcase with a three-panelled door, and a left-side carriage entrance. The rear elevation is of brown brick. Attached to the main building is a two-storey outbuilding constructed of timber framing with painted brick infill. The ground floor features widely spaced timber panels, likely from the 18th century, while the first floor has thinner panels, probably from the mid-19th century. This timber-framed outbuilding is a rare survival of late timber framing in London.
