Description
The Old Court House is an early 18th-century building that has been altered in the late 18th century and later. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of brown brick with red dressings. The front of the building is irregular, with much of the original façade obscured by later additions. These include a full-height canted bay in yellow brick on the left and a three-window rectangular projection on the right, of which only one bay belongs to The Old Court House. Between these two bays, there are remains of the original front. The house was leased to the architect Christopher Wren in 1708, and he lived there until his death in 1723. The property also features an old fountain basin in the rear garden.
