Description
Old Office House is a house dating from the early 18th century, although it has earlier origins. The front facade was altered around 1900 and features red brick on the ground floor and roughcast on the first floor, adorned with decorative applied timber work. The building has a plain tiled mansard roof with overhanging eaves and consists of two storeys plus an attic, spanning five bays in width. The entrance is located in the central bay, with segmental brick heads above the ground floor windows and door, while the upper floors have square-headed windows. These upper windows are 2-light casements with rectangular leaded panes. A large chimney stack is positioned to the left. The rear wall is blind and constructed of brick from the 16th or 17th century. Inside, the house retains early 18th-century features, including a turned baluster staircase.
