Description
The Curatage is a house dating from the early 18th century, possibly incorporating earlier elements. It is constructed of red brick with a sandstone ground floor and features a brown tiled roof, verge parapets, and tall brick stacks at the center and right end, which have three and four diagonally set flues. The building is 2½ storeys high with a gable-lit attic and has a five-window front with a central entrance. There are raised brick bands at the first and second floor levels. The windows are 19th-century casements, and there is a trellised timber porch leading to the front door. A smaller wing is located at the left end of the house.
