Description
Cottage by the Church is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, which was remodeled around 1900. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled thatch roof with brick end stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a three-window range. There is a 20th-century door and porch. A timber lintel from around 1900 is located over a two-light casement window to the right of the porch, while chamfered timber lintels are found over 20th-century French windows flanked by two-light casements to the left. The dormer windows also have similar casements. The interior was remodeled around 1900 and includes an open fireplace to the left. This building is included for its group value.
