Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with 20th-century brick stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, displaying a two-window range. There is a timber lintel above a central blocked door, and timber lintels over a 20th-century two-light casement window to the left and a three-light casement window in a narrowed opening to the right. The half dormers also have 20th-century two-light casements. The gabled roof has gable end stacks. To the right, there is a single-storey lean-to extension made of similar materials, which includes the current entry. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
