Description

This is a mid-18th century farmhouse, now a house, located on Station Road in Brize Norton. The main building is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble, with a dressed stone facade featuring ashlar quoins. It has a gabled roof covered in stone slates, and ashlar moulded end stacks, with the right-hand stack finished in late 19th century brick. The interior is arranged around a central staircase.

The two-storey, symmetrical building has a three-window front. Timber lintels are chamfered and frame the 20th-century door and windows. A gabled roof dormer with a 20th-century three-light casement window is visible. The gables are finished with moulded stone coping and kneelers.

Service ranges, constructed of similar materials, are located to the right and at the rear of the main building and are one storey and attic in height. Inside, a cased beam is present on the right side of the house, and a plain beam in a rear room. The inspection was partial.
