Description
The farmhouse dates from the 18th century. It’s constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled stone slate roof, and a stone ridge stack. Originally a two-unit plan building, it has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window front. The windows are late 19th century three-light casements with timber lintels. Gabled roof dormers contain late 19th century two-light casements. A mid-19th century extension is located to the right, built of limestone rubble with a Welsh slate roof. This extension is two storeys, with a two-window range, a 20th-century porch, and a mid-19th century six-panelled door. A two-storey service range projects forward from the right bay; it’s built of limestone rubble with a gabled stone slate roof and a stack finished in brick. A mid-19th century dairy outshut, with latticed wooden windows, adjoins the service range on the left. The interior and rear of the building were not inspected, but are likely to be of interest.
