SWERFORD A361 SP33SE (North side) 2/173 Milestone approx. 250m. W of The Masons Arms

II Milestone. Late C18. Limestone with cast-iron plate. Tall tapering slab with rounded top has a rectangular plate inscribed "Chipping/Norton/5/Banbury/7 3/4/miles". The Burford/Banbury road was turnpiked in 1770.
