Description

This milestone, located approximately 200 meters northwest of Bloxham School, dates from the 18th or 19th century. It is made of limestone and features a rectangular cast iron plate. The inscription on the plate reads: "Chipping/Norton/10/Banbury 2/MILES." This milestone is classified as a Keith Lawrence 'tombstone' or type T7. It measures 40 centimeters in width and 19 centimeters in depth.
