Description
No. 12 High Street is a cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and has a thatched roof. The building features two stacks; a substantial central stack with a stone base and brick flues, and a brick stack on a stone base to the right. The cottage has a three-unit plan and a three-window range. To the right, there is a four-panelled door with a moulded wooden frame, flanked by a wooden mullioned and transomed window on the left and a three-light casement window on the right. All the windows and the door share a continuous lintel. To the left, there is another three-light casement window. In the attic, there are two wooden mullioned and transomed windows along with a three-light casement with a wooden lintel. The interior has not been inspected.
