Description
Nut Tree House is an 18th-century house located on Bloxham Courtington Lane. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and has a 20th-century tile roof. The house features three brick stacks at the ends and along the ridge, with the stack on the right set on a stone base. The building has a four-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a five-window range. To the left, there is a four-panelled door set within a 20th-century porch. On either side of the porch, there are two three-light casement windows that have wooden lintels and wrought iron casement fasteners. An extension to the right obscures some details on the ground floor. The first floor has six windows, mainly three-light casements, some of which also feature wrought iron casement fasteners. There are two small gabled dormers in the attic. On the elevation facing Workhouse Lane, there is a two-light stone mullioned window to the cellar. The interior has not been inspected.
