Description
Willowbrook is a house located on Church Lane in Harwell. It dates back to the early 14th century on the right side and was encased in 18th-century brick. The house was extended around 1560. The ground floor features 18th-century brickwork, while the first floor has close-studded timber framing with rendered infill. The roof is hipped and covered with old plain tiles, and there are brick ridge stacks on the left and to the right of the center. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a five-window range.
A 20th-century plank door is situated to the right of the center. The ground floor has 20th-century three-light casements, except for a two-light casement with a segmental brick head and a single-light casement to the right, along with an 11-pane window to the left. The first floor features three-light wood casements on the left, center, and right, as well as two-light wood casements to the left and right of the center. There are also two gabled full dormers. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have original fireplaces on both the ground and first floors, along with the survival of an original corridor leading to the first floor.
