Description
Prince's Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1500, with late 16th-century additions on the right and a brick front and rear addition from around 1750. The building is roughcast on brick and features an old plain tile roof with various brick stacks. It is a two-storey, five-bay range with a two-storeys-and-attic cross-wing to the left. There are 19th-century panelled part-glazed doors at the rear and 19th-century French windows at the front, positioned left of centre. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of casements and sashes. The first floor jetties out to the left, and there is a cross-gable on that side. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have an arch-braced collar-truss in the centre bay of the original hall, along with other interesting timber-framing details. The farmhouse was owned by the Loder family from 1557 to 1713.
