Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the mid-15th century, with later alterations. The ground floor is finished in painted 19th-century brick, while the upper part features 19th-century false timber-framing with rendered panels, likely over timber-framing. The building has an old plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack located to the left of the center. It has an L-shaped plan with a cross-wing at the left rear, consisting of two storeys and a three-window range. All openings have 4-pane horned sashes, and there are 4-panel doors on the left return. The end of the cross-wing displays a base-cruck frame. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have a cruck truss. The farmhouse was formerly known as "Le Carillon."
