Description
Whittles Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 15th century, with alterations made in the 17th and 20th centuries. The building features tile hanging, likely on timber framing, with painted brick on the ground floor of the cross-wing. It has a plain tile roof and brick stacks. The farmhouse has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high, with a two-window range and a cross-wing to the right. There is a plank door at the centre and another plank door leading to the cross-wing. All openings have two-light casements, except for a single-light casement on the ground floor to the right. The farmhouse has massive stacks at the left end and at the gable end of the cross-wing. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
