Description

Step Cottage is a house that likely dates from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It features light timber framing with brick infill and has a plain tile hipped roof topped with a central brick ridge stack. The layout follows a baffle entry plan and it is a single storey with an attic, presenting a two-window range. A central 20th-century glazed porch with a double glazed door is located at the front, flanked by two-light casements on either side. There are gabled half-dormers above. The interior has not been inspected. To the right, there is a subsidiary single-storey wing that was added in the 20th century.
