Description
Beech House is a house dating from the mid 17th century, with a mid 19th century front facing the street. The main front is positioned at right angles to the street. It features a brick plinth and render, likely over timber framing, topped with an old plain-tile roof that has a brick ridge slightly off-center to the left. The house is two storeys tall with an attic and has a three-window range. There is a plank door, with a three-light casement window featuring leaded lights to the right of the door. The ground and first floors on the left and right have 19th century three-light casements with ornamental glazing bars, while the centre of the first floor has a 17th century three-light casement with leaded lights. A cross-gable is located to the left of the centre, which includes a two-light casement with leaded lights. The right side of the house, facing the street, is made of mid 19th century grey brick with red brick dressings, designed in the Tudor Revival style. The interior has not been inspected.
