Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century. The left-hand portion has roughcast rendering, likely over timber framing, while the right-hand portion is of painted brick. The roof is of old plain tiles, with a hip to the right side. There are stacks, though they are not visible. The house comprises a two-storey, single-bay section to the left, and a single-storey-and-attic, three-bay range to the right. A four-panel door is situated within a cat-slide roofed porch on the right return of the left-hand section. There are two two-light wooden casements to the right, with segmental brick heads. A three-light casement is situated to the left. Gabled dormers are present in the centre and right, each containing a two-light casement. A 20th-century sloping rooflight is located to the left of the centre. A two-light casement is visible on the first floor to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
