Description

White Cottage and White House is a house that has been converted into two dwellings, likely dating from the early 17th century. The building features painted stone rubble with a brick plinth, and small timber-framing with painted brick infill. It has an old plain-tile roof, with a brick ridge stack located to the right of the center and a lateral stack at the rear. The structure is two stories high and has a four-window range that runs at right angles to the street. The windows are irregularly arranged casements, and there are 20th-century doors at the rear. A double Queen-post roof truss is visible at the gable end facing the street. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
