Description
Thatched Cottage is a 16th-century cottage with 20th-century additions located in Goring Heath. The building features large timber framing with brick infill and a thatched roof, complemented by a brick stack. It has a two-unit baffle entry plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. There is a plank door positioned to the left of the center, alongside a 2-light 20th-century casement window to the left and another 2-light casement window to the right of the center. To the right, there is a single-light 20th-century casement. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casements. A ridge stack is located to the left of the center. Inside, there is an original fireplace on the ground floor to the right, and the roof features queen posts with windbraces. The cottage has 20th-century additions on both the left and right sides.
