Description

The Baulk is an eye catcher, likely originally an ornamental feature, dating to the late 18th century, with a house added probably in the late 19th century. It is constructed of unknapped flint with grey brick dressings to the house, and has a roof of stone slate and plain tiles. The building follows an L-shaped plan and comprises two storeys with a four-window front facing the garden. Most windows are two-light casements, except for a five-light casement on the ground floor to the left. The roof has a complex design. The entrance is at the rear, where there is a plank door. The right return has a flint wall with square piers, each topped with a pyramid, at the left and right. The interior has not been inspected.
