Description
Hardwick Stud Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has undergone 19th-century alterations and an extension. It is constructed from flint with brick and rendered dressings, topped with a plain tile roof and featuring brick stacks. The building is two stories high and has a five-window range. A plank door is located to the left of the center, which is sheltered by a 19th-century rendered porch that has a four-centred arch and a cross gable. The ground floor features three-light wooden mullioned and transomed windows, except for a two-light casement window on the right. The first floor has wooden cross-windows, with the exception of a single casement window above the porch and a two-light casement on the right. Most window openings have 17th-century brick dressings, with 19th-century render applied on top. There are cross-gables at the center and left, both with brick coping, and 19th-century ridge stacks with diagonal shafts. At the rear, there is an outshut with some visible timber framing. The interior has not been inspected. To the right, there is a 19th-century wing that features 20th-century fenestration.
