Description
Querns is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and extensions from the 19th and 20th centuries. The left side is constructed of red brick, while the right side features flint with brick dressings. It has a plain tile roof and a brick ridge stack located to the right of the center.
The garden front is two stories high and has a four-window range. There is a 19th-century half-glazed door to the left of the center. To the left, there is a three-light leaded wooden casement window with a segmental head, and to the right of the center, a five-light leaded wooden casement. A four-light casement window to the right has a brick relieving arch above it. On the first floor, there is a five-light leaded wooden casement window to the left, a three-light leaded wooden casement window to the left of the center, and a six-light leaded wooden casement window to the right of the center, with a four-light leaded wooden casement window to the far right.
To the left, there is a tile-hung cross-gable, and to the right, a half-hipped cross-gable. At the rear, there is a timber-framed wing with brick infill. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest. There are 19th-century extensions to the right.
