Description
Moat Cottage is a house that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of roughcast on brick and features a thatched roof that is hipped to the right and half-hipped to the left, with brick ridge stacks located to the left and right of the center. The building is a single storey with an attic and has a four-window range that is positioned at right angles to the street. The central entrance is a plank door, and there are two-light casements on the ground floor, with the windows to the left and right of the center featuring Gothick glazing bars. The cottage also has two gabled full dormers in the center, each with three-light casements and old plain-tile roofs and surrounds. The interior has not been inspected. Moat Cottage is included for its group value.
