Description
The Street Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been converted into a house. They date from the early 18th century and feature a late 18th century brick encasement. The building is constructed of red brick and has a thatched roof with a central brick ridge stack. It is a single storey with an attic and has a two-window range. There is a plank door located at the rear. The ground floor has four horizontal sash windows with segmental brick heads, and there is a single-light casement window at the centre below the eaves. The cottage also features two swept dormers. Inside, there are stop-chamfered spine beams with ogee end stops on the ground floor, and a blocked fireplace is located at the centre of the ground floor. To the left, there is a 19th century addition made of limestone rubble with brick dressings, which is a single-storey and has a single-window range.
