Description
Greenwood Cottage is a house that likely dates from the early 18th century. It features a rendered plinth and large timber framing in the center with painted brick infill. The right side is rendered, probably on timber framing, while the left side is made of painted stone uncoursed rubble with brick dressings. The roof is thatched and half-hipped, with a central brick ridge stack. The house is a single storey with an attic and has a two-window range. There is a 20th-century plank door leading to a 20th-century porch in the center. To the left, there is a three-light wood casement window with a segmental brick head, and to the right, a two-light wood casement window. The cottage also has two swept dormers.
To the left, there is a late 18th-century addition, which is made of painted stone uncoursed rubble with brick dressings and has an old plain-tile roof and a brick end stack. This addition is also a single storey with an attic and features a single-window range. It has a part-glazed plank door with a segmental brick head and a gabled dormer with a two-light wood casement window.
