Description
This is a house located at 2 Hollier's Close, dating from the 17th century with later alterations. The left side features a painted uncoursed stone rubble plinth, while the right side is made of painted brick. The ground floor on the left has large timber framing with painted brick infill, and rendered infill above. The roof is thatched and half-hipped to the left, with old plain-tile edging to the right, and there is a brick ridge stack on the right side.
The house is a single storey with an attic and has a two-window range. There is a plank door on the right with a gabled hood supported by brackets, a three-light wood casement window in the center, and a six-pane window to the left. On the right, there is a swept dormer featuring a two-light wood casement. To the right, there is a late 18th-century addition made of painted brick, with an old plain-tile roof. This single-storey and attic extension has a single-window design and a two-light wood casement on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
