Description
Bassetts is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It features a painted stone uncoursed-rubble plinth and irregular timber-framing with painted brick and rendered infill. The roof is covered with plain tiles from the 20th century, and there are brick stacks at the ends, with a ridge stack located to the left of center. The building is a single storey with an attic and has a south-facing bay range, along with an addition to the left that has a cat-slide roof. A 20th-century panelled door is situated at the right return of the addition. The front includes a 3-light casement window in the center and a 2-light casement window to the right, with a raking dormer above that also features a 2-light casement window. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams with ogee end stops and open fireplaces on the ground floor.
