Description
East Brook is a house located on South Street in Blewbury. It dates from the 17th century, with an early 19th-century addition on the right side. The building features irregular timber framing with painted brick infill on the left and render, likely on brick, on the right. It has an old plain-tile roof with two heights, a brick stack at the left end, and a ridge stack near the center. The house is two storeys high with an attic and consists of a two-bay range with a two-storey, two-bay addition on the right, both positioned at right angles to the street. There is a 20th-century glazed door on the right. The windows have an irregular arrangement, including casements and sashes, with a 16-pane unhorned sash window in the center of the first floor and a 12-pane unhorned sash window to the right on the first floor. A flat-roofed dormer is located to the left of center. The left gable end facing the street features a queen post roof truss. The interior has not been inspected.
