Description

Dibleys House is an early 17th-century house located on the east side of South Street, Blewbury. The house has a painted brick plinth and is largely timber-framed with roughcast infill. It features an old plain-tile roof, half-hipped on the right and cross-gabled to the left, with a brick ridge stack in the centre. The building is arranged as a two-storey, two-window range with a two-storey-and-attic cross-wing to the left. A four-panel door is centrally located. The windows are casements with leaded lights, and the fenestration is irregular. The first floor of the cross-wing is jettied at the end. A queen post roof truss is present in the gable-end of the cross-wing. The interior has not been inspected. The group value context indicates this building contributes to the significance of the Blewbury streetscape.
