Description

Dragonwyke and Winding Way Cottage is a house that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates back to the 16th century, with a 17th-century cross-range added to the rear and later alterations. The building features painted uncoursed stone rubble with brick dressings in the ground floor center and left of center. There is large timber-framing to the right of center with painted brick infill, and painted brick to the right. The first floor has large timber-framing with painted brick and rendered infill, topped by a thatched roof with brick ridge stacks at the center and to the right of center.

The structure is two stories high with a three-window range. A plank door is located to the right of center, and the windows are irregularly arranged, featuring 20th-century three-light casements. There is a gabled dormer to the right with an old plain-tile roof and surround. To the left, there is an addition, likely from the 18th century, which has weatherboarding, probably on timber-framing, and a thatched roof. This addition is two stories high with a single bay range, including a 20th-century garage door on the ground floor and a three-light casement on the first floor.

Winding Way Cottage forms the cross-range at the rear, featuring painted brick on the ground floor and large timber-framing with painted brick infill on the first floor, also with a thatched roof and 20th-century windows. There is a 20th-century addition to the right, parallel to the main range facing the street. The interior has not been inspected.
