Description
Abners is a house that likely dates from the mid-17th century and has undergone later alterations. It features a rendered plinth and small timber-framing with painted brick infill. The first floor on the right side is adorned with 19th-century tile-hanging, and the roof is covered with plain tiles, topped by a brick ridge stack positioned to the right of the center. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range that is set at right angles to the street. There is a two-panel door located to the right of a 19th-century porch at the center-right of the façade. The windows exhibit irregular spacing and consist of 2-light casements. The right side of the building, facing the street, has a ground floor made of brick, which likely serves as the underbuilding for a jetty. The first floor also features 19th-century tile-hanging, probably supported by timber framing. The interior has not been inspected.
