Description

Nayles Bridge Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is a small timber-framed building with painted brick infill, and has an old plain-tile roof with a brick ridge stack in the centre. The house follows a two-unit lobby-entry plan. It is a single storey with an attic, and has a two-window front. A 20th-century plank door leads to a 20th-century gabled porch positioned centrally. There are 19th-century oriel windows to the ground floor on either side. The ground floor also has casement windows. The attic windows are two-light casements, and there is a two-centre arched window in the gable apex. The interior was not inspected. A 20th-century addition on the right side of the building is not considered to be of architectural interest. The building is included on the list for its group value.
