Description

Spring Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with a 19th-century addition to the right and 20th-century alterations. The building is roughcast, likely over timber-framing on the left and center, and roughcast, probably over brick, on the right. It has an old plain-tile roof that is half-hipped to the left, with a brick end stack to the right and an internal stack to the left of center at the rear. The house is two stories tall and features a five-window range. There is a plank door to the right of center with a flat hood above it. To the left, there are 20th-century garage doors leading to a gabled 20th-century brick projection. The fenestration is irregular, consisting mainly of casements, except for an angled bay window on the ground floor to the right. Timber-framing is visible on the left return. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value.
