Description
The Red Lion Public House is a mid-17th century building with a cross-wing at the rear and a front range that features a datestone above the central door, inscribed "W.B. Nov. 24 1807". It is constructed of red and flared brick in Flemish bond and has an old plain-tile roof with brick end stacks. The building is two stories high and has a two-window range. The central entrance consists of a plank door with a segmental brick head and a flat hood supported by wrought-iron brackets. All openings have three-light wood casements with segmental brick heads. There is a brick dentil course at the eaves. The rear cross-wing is small and features timber-framing with brick infill. The interior has not been inspected. A 20th-century addition to the right is not of special architectural interest.
