Description
Great Tree and Ilburys is a farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings. It likely dates from the mid-17th century, with 18th-century additions and 19th-century alterations, including an addition to the left side. The building features a brick ground floor and large timber-framing with brick infill on the first floor, topped by an old plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack located to the left of the center. The structure has a two-storey, two-window range with a two-storey cross-wing on the right. There is a plank door to the right of the main range, which is sheltered by a lean-to open porch. The windows are irregularly arranged casements. To the left, there is an 18th-century addition that is a two-storey, single-bay range, and to the right, another 18th-century addition that is a single-storey, three-window range. The interiors have not been inspected.
