Description

A barn, likely dating from the 17th century, is situated on the north side of London Road, Blewbury. It is constructed with a red brick plinth and areas of unknapped flint, with timber framing and weatherboarding, and has a thatched roof which is hipped on the left. The barn has six bays and a double plank door to the left of the centre. The interior is reported to feature Queen-post roof construction. To the right of the barn is an attached gateway, probably dating from the 18th century. This gateway is also timber-framed and weatherboarded, with a corrugated-iron sheet roof. It comprises a single bay with double plank doors to the left and a plank pedestrian door to the right. The internal features of the gateway have not been inspected.
