Description
Corrydon House is a house that likely dates from the late 16th century. The ground floor is made of painted brick, while the first floor features close-studded timber-framing with rendered infill. The roof is covered with old plain tiles and has a half-hipped gablet on the left and a half-hipped cross-gable on the right. There is a brick ridge stack located to the left of the center and a 20th-century brick internal stack to the right of the center, with an end stack on the right side of the cross-wing.
The house is two stories tall and has a three-window range, with a cross-wing to the right. The main entrance features a ribbed door at the center of the main range, which is sheltered by a 20th-century timber-framed porch. The main range has two-light casements with leaded lights, except for a three-light casement on the ground floor to the left, which also has leaded lights. The cross-wing has a bay window on the ground floor with a four-light casement, and the first floor of the cross-wing is jettied, featuring a two-light casement. Additionally, there is a raised cruck at the gable end of the cross-wing. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
